Mediations; the infrastructure of our digital existence, the pervasive reach of surveillance, the fluidity of online identity, and the boundless possibilities of world-building. Each pixel, line of code, and digital construct serves as both canvas and commentary. The virtual bleeds seamlessly into the real, illuminating the myriad ways in which technology shapes, distorts, and enriches our lives.

Throughout our platform, we feature a rotating selection of works from artists at various stages of their careers, each bringing a unique perspective to the digital conversation. Despite their diverse methods and expressions, these artists share a common goal: to transcend traditional art world structures and engage audiences on new, digital terms. Each segment begins with a contribution from a theorist or platform that has significantly influenced the discourse around the theme, setting the stage for the artistic explorations that follow. These introductions, whether in the form of talks, readings, or essays, are not just preludes; they are integral parts of the narrative we weave. They provide context, provoke thought, and invite critical engagement. By integrating these contributions into our web interface, we ensure that each segment is both engaging and accessible, creating a rich, ongoing archive that serves as a resource for future exploration.

A journey through the digital—a slice of binary space where the boundaries of the real are constantly being redrawn, and where every work is an invitation to see the digital realm anew. As you navigate our platform, we hope you find it a space for both discovery and reflection. Here, art and technology converge, illuminating the complexities of our interconnected world.

This experimental 3D animation and filmed footage hybrid unfolds in a city, following individuals afflicted by glass delusion—those who believe their bodies are made of glass. A psychiatric phenomenon recorded in medieval Europe, it caused individuals to fear they might shatter. Associated with both fragility and luxury, glass shaped how nobility perceived their status. Ill-fated beings appear as fragile glass objects—a display cabinet, a vessel—sinking deeper into delusion.

"He was a man of glass, not flesh… since glass is subtle and delicate, the soul works through it with more speed."

The film crafts haunting visuals, drawing from material mystification and the digital phenomenon of being delulu. It explores how innovation distorts the psyche. As these beings shiver, stumble, and shatter, the film takes a body horror twist, revealing the fragile boundary between perception and material reality.

“The slightest touch would break us, and we would return to nothing.”

Miglė Vyčinaitė is a Lithuanian artist based in Copenhagen whose work revolves around the creation of modern myths and magical materialism, mediated through technical images that alter our perception and interaction with the world. She develops speculative scenarios intertwined with non-canonical histories. In her work, images no longer refer to the past but exist in an eternal present, constantly being updated and manipulated.

In her art practice she uses different media such as video art, sculptures, text and installations. Miglė's Vyčinaitė's work has recently been presented at Art Hub Copenhagen (2024), Gossamer Fog in London (2024), Kunsthal Charlottenborg in Copenhagen (2024), The National Art Gallery in Vilnius (2023), FABRIKKEN for Art and Design in Copenhagen (2023), SixtyEight Art Institute in Copenhagen (2023) amongst others.
